About converting PDF to Markdown
What it does
Pulls the body text out of a text-based PDF and rebuilds headings and paragraphs as Markdown, so you can move the content into your own notes or docs.
Your file stays on your device
Conversion runs entirely in the browser. Nothing is uploaded, so you can use it on internal documents and contracts that must not leave your machine.
What it cannot do
Scanned PDFs are images with no text layer, so they cannot be converted — the tool says so rather than inventing content. Tables can break when the PDF has no table structure, and formulas are not supported.
